Arp Instruments Sequencer Model 1621
The instrument
The analog sequencer model 1621 is identical in construction to the original Arp Sequencer 1601 from 1976, but with a slightly different appearance. It has no keyboard, memory or display. Arp had already launched the Model 1027 sequencer in 1970 and also installed it in the Arp 2500.
Details
The ARP 1621 is a 16-step sequencer with numerous possibilities for sequence and tone modification. The 16 steps are organized in two sections with 8 steps (A and B). Operation with 16 steps is also possible, with the steps running one after the other. With the 8 x 2 mode, two sequences can run in parallel. Each step is assigned a gate assign function, which can be used to skip or return to the first step of the sequence and to rhythmize the sequence. The Gate Bus functions can be used to speed up a sequence, for example. Clock Pulse generates variable pulse oscillations. The CV range is adjustable from 0-10 volts, the scale is 1V/oct (1/12V per semitone). (Source: Amazona)
