The unit was removed from the superstructure of a radio set. Therefore, the case, the tone arm and other components are missing.
11 tubes drive a record player that plays shellac records at 78RPM. By means of a wire tone player or an external microphone, radio broadcasts and records can be recorded and played back on a thin wire (approx. 60 minutes). The weight was sold on the German market under the name "Schaub Supraphone".
