The instrument

The elements of the Wilgamat 1 were presumably originally built into the X-705 organ and subsequently produced as a separate rhythm instrument with a modified arrangement of the function keys. Successor models with slightly modified technology are the Wilgamat II and III.

Details

The 16 rhythm keys are: Tango, March, Waltz, Slow Rock, Swing, Rhythm & Blues, Jazz Rock, Shake, Boogie Woogie, Afro, Beguine, Samba, Mambo, Rumba, Cha-Cha, Bossa Nova. The Bass section includes Bass (bass fiddle), Bass Guitar, Bass Sustain (reverb) and Memory (memory for automatic bass). The Accompaniment section with Piano, Guitar, Brass and Memory (memory for accompaniment chords) is a 2-octave bass and chord synthesizer controlled by an external keyboard, Elka organ or foot pedal.
