Dynacord Twen Tube Amplifier
The instrument
The Twen Tube Amplifier was launched by Dynacord in 1966 as a portable amplifier for guitars and small organs. This was followed in 1968 by a version in a new housing and in 1974 by the Twint II with a few minor technical changes. The device with very simple technical features was developed for the small budget. It had one input channel with tone control and a tremolo.
Details
The Twint amplifier was developed for voltages of 110 - 240 V at 50-60 Hz, a power consumption of 70 watts, an output power of 17 W sine or 20 watts MP and a frequency range of 40 Hz - 12 kHz. The tube configuration is 2 x ECC 83, 1 x EZ 81, 2 x 6V6. The Twen has a two-stage preamplifier with push-pull stage and a vibrato generator with grid voltage modulation, a speaker with a broadband system 20 watts / 8 ohms and another with 20 watts / 5-10 ohms.
