The instrument

The Eminent EMT mixing amplifier followed the Exquisit prototype from 1959 in 1961 and was the first model in the Eminent series. A model variant with increased input sensitivity followed in 1962. The EMT has 5 inputs, two for microphones and three for instruments. The sum signal of the inputs can be adapted to the rooms with separate controls for the bass and treble of the sound. The amplifier has an output power of 40 watts.

Details

The technology of the EMP is based on tubes and semiconductors. The tubes of model 2 are 5 x ECC 83, 2 x EL 34, EM 84 and GZ 34, the semiconductors are E 80 C 20 and OA 161. The technical arrangement consists of four preamplifiers, two level amplifiers, a phase inverter stage and a push-pull output stage. The frequency range is 30 Hz to 15 kHz +/- 1 dB.
