The instrument

With the introduction of midi keyboards, Crumar changed its company name to BIT. The first device in the series appeared in 1984 under the name BIT ONE. In 1995, the BIT 99 and its rack version BIT 01 were launched. Either in between or shortly afterwards, Crumar developed the little-known BIT MMK Midi Master Keyboard. As the BIT ONE is only rudimentarily equipped with Midi, the Midi was expanded for the other BITs.

Details

The BIT ONE is a 6-voice analogue synthesizer with a 61-note keyboard on a DCO basis and is equipped with 2 DCOs, 2 LFOs, 1 VCF, 1 VCA and 2 ENVs per voice. It also has a stereo mode that allows the sound to switch randomly between the right and left channels. All waveforms of the DCOs can be activated together. The MIDI implementation has only 63 memory patches. (Quelle: Amazona)
