The instrument

The Eminent 310 Unique appeared in two versions from 1972 to 1984. In addition to the organ options, it offers a string ensemble. Its sounds are generated by slightly detuned sawtooth oscillations in a frequency divider circuit, sent through an ensemble effect consisting of three analogue delays and modulated by two LFOs. The resulting sound was influential in the music of the 1970s and was copied by other manufacturers. The most famous user is Jean-Michel Jarre, who used the instrument on the albums Oxygène and Equinoxe. The sound of the String Ensemble was further developed in the Eminem Solina String Ensemble from 1973.
