The instrument

Siel Opera 6 Polyphonic Synthesiser was produced in three versions between 1983 and 1985, which differed only slightly in appearance. Version 3 was equipped with DCOs instead of VCOs like the previous models. The KIWI Polyphonic Synthesiser model corresponds to the Opera 6 v3, with slight changes to the switches. Another variant is Siel DK 600 and the Siel EK 600 is a desktop version.

Details

The Opera 6 v3 has a 61-key keyboard and is 6-voice polyphonic and velocity-sensitive. It already has a midi interface for note, velocity and programme change. It has LFOs with which the pitch of the oscillators can be influenced, DCOs with two oscillators (A and B) per voice, whereby 4', 8', 16' and the waveforms can be used with footage, VCF with cutoff and resonance, keyboard trading between 0 and 100, as well as ADSR with attack, decay, sustain and release. There are also 95 memory locations. (Source: Amazona)
