The MicroX is a small-format synthesizer with 62-voice HI tone generation. It is almost functionally identical to the X-50 synthesizer. The technology is already known from the Triton Workstation (1999). However, the 64 MB sample ROM has been updated with 32 MB Triton samples and 32 MB newly created samples. A total of around 1000 sounds are available. 

The sample-based HI sound generation impresses with its powerful sound, good quality filter and effects section and 16-fold multimode. The microX can create a stereo insert effect, two mono in/stereo out send effects and a three-band master EQ. There are 89 effect algorithms available. Many sounds are equipped with arpeggiator patterns that are based on pitch and speed and are polyphonically programmable. Korg includes an editor.
