Framus 4/60 Triumph 4-String Electric Bass

The instrument

The "Triumph Electro-Bass" or "Triumphbass" was the electrified and slimmed-down version of the double bass, the unique electric upright with the model number 4/60. This solid-body version of the classic four-string was produced from September 1953 and was one of the few instruments that could still be found almost unchanged in the Framus catalogues of the 1970s. The model was offered in various versions until around 1980 and was also sold under the Warwick label. (Source: Framus)
