The Micro Rack series from Boss was introduced in 1984/1985. It comprises 17 effects, from equalizer, flanger, chorus and distortion to a digital panning delay. They are coordinated in terms of their connection and control options. The SE-50 was released in 1990, the successor SE-70 in 1993.
The SE-70 contains 35 effects and 45 algorithm. It is equipped with analog distortion, a sampler capable of recording up to 2ms of sound, a guitar and bass synthesis feature, a chromatic tuner. The metronome offers a selection of rhythm, including 8 beat, 156 beat, shuffle, and syncopation. It has also a real time parameter control, stereo input and output and MIDI connectors.
