The Elgam 244 Organ appeared on the market in the middle 1970s. The Elgam company was active from 1968-1982 and produced organs and pianos. This market was already crowded with Italian competitors. The 244 Organ is comparable with the Farfisa organs in this time.
Details
The 244 organ has various options for adjusting and changing the tone colours. The lower manual can be changed with Flute 8' / 4', Horn 8' and Clarinet 8' / 4', the upper manual with Flute 16' / 8' / 4', Clarinet 16' / 8', Diapason 8', Oboe 8', Strings 4', and Piccolo 4'. There are also buttons for Space Sound slow / fast, Pedal 16' / 8' and Sustain, Reverb and Vibrato. The Rhythm Presets section includes Waltz, Bossa Nova, Go-Go, Slow Rock, Fox Trott, March and Cha Cha, which are adjustable for Percussion Instruments, Automatic Bass and Cords and Continuous Key.
