The Revox 40 has inputs for pickups, tape and radio, 7-stage tone controls, a balance control and outputs for tape and loudspeakers. The frequency response is 39 Hz - 20,000 Hz. The tube configuration is: ECC 83, 3 x ECC 81, 4 x ECL 86.
