The CR-80 is a pre-programmed 16-bit rhythm machine that offers a wide variety of rhythmic patterns. It is 12-voice polyphonic.

The CR-80 has 69 programmed sounds in 36 available styles. Each style has 4 variations, so that a total of 144 patterns are possible. In addition to 12-voice polyphony, MIDI in and out and individual volume controls for each drum sound, the device also features a feel fader. This fader is used to change the quantisation in order to vary the rhythm sound. New rhythms can be programmed.
