Released at the same time as the legendary CR-78, the Roland CR-68 was the more modest edition and did not offer the possibility of creating your own patterns. It is polyphonic with many voices. 

CR-68 features generates 12 percussion: Bass Drum, Snare Drum, Rim Shot, Hi-hat, Cymbal, Maracas, Claves, Cow Bell, High Bongo, Low Bongo, Low Conga and other preset rhythms: Rock (x4), Swing, Samba, Enka, Disco (x2), Foxtrot, Mambo, Waltz, Tango, Chacha, Shuffle, Boogie, Beguine, Slow rock, Bossanova and Rhumba. There is a knob to select between 5 variations, as well as controls for volume, tempo  sound balance and drum accent.
