Leslie 760 Solid-State Speaker Amplifier Cabinet

The instrument

In 1968, Leslie, which was now part of CBS Broadcasting, launched the new series of Pro Line or Combo Line loudspeakers. More powerful speakers than the Leslie 122, for example, were in demand for live concerts by rock bands. The new series had louder solid-state power amplifiers, and were mounted on casters for ease of portability. The most popular version of the Pro-Line series was the 760, a smaller version of the 900 and 910, which appeared in two versions, in the classic Leslie cabinet or with a black lacquered wooden cabinet and silver fabric. Details

The 760 model is equipped with a tweeter and a bass rotor with the functions fast - slow - stop, a transistor amplifier with 2 channels and a total output of 90 watts: 55 watts for the bass channel, 35 watts for the tweeter channel.
The speakers are a Jensen 3/4″ V21 tweeter driver with 16 ohms and a Jensen 15″ C15L bass speaker with 4 ohms. The crossover frequency is 800 Hz. The connection is a 9-pin connection. The 760 model has the same components (speakers, motors, rotors) as the classic tube Leslies, except for the transistor power amplifiers. (Source: Amazona)
