The instrument
The ME series of rotor amplifiers and speakers from Echolette for electronic organs began in 1971 with the ME I, followed by the ME II in 1974. The ME II S variant was launched in 1978.
Details
The technical changes to the ME II S compared to earlier ME models were a new preamplifier board and a small amplifier in the bass/midrange section, and an additional rhythm unit, guitar or second organ manual can be connected via a second channel. The channels have separate controls for bass and treble. It has a fully transistorized PA mixing amplifier, two preamplifiers, tone control, driver stage and power amplifier, low-midrange section with a 30 cm full-range speaker, mid-high range with pressure chamber system, 2-stage rotating dual dispersion.
Power: 230 V at 50/60 Hz.
Output power: sine wave 80 watts, music 120 watts.
Distortion factor less than 0.3 % at 1000 Hz.
Frequency range: 40 Hz - 20 kHz at +/- 1 dB.
