The instrument

The Echolette E 51 is the successor to the -S- NG51 Tube Tape Echo, which Klemt sold from 1960 to 1967 as one of the first effects units for music recordings. The E 51 tube device appeared with a new design, but is practically identical in construction. Production was discontinued in 1973, as tube technology had been superseded by semiconductor technology. The E 51 is suitable for combination with the Klemt mixing amplifiers M 70, M 120, M 150, B 150, B 200 and G 200 from the silver series.
