The instrument

The Gigant tube and transistor amplifier was the first model of a generation of 150-watt amplifiers from Dynacord in 1966. It is still equipped with tubes in the output stage and with Si transistors in all other stages. It is suitable for sound reinforcement in large halls and open-air events and can be combined with loudspeakers from the S series and the Echocord Super 75.

Details

The Gigant is designed for operating voltages of 110 - 240 volts at 50 Hz and has a power consumption of 480 VA and 200 watts. The tube configuration is 5 x ECC 81 and 4 x EL 34, the transistor configuration 29 x BC 147 B. The diodes and rectifiers are B 60 C 600, E 75 C 40, 8 x BY 250, BZX 87, AA 112 and ECO 4234. It is equipped with 6 preamplifiers, tone control and driver stage, phase inversion stage and power display. There are 6 universal inputs for microphones, bass/guitar, organ, tape recorders and echo devices. (Source: Hans Ohms)
