The CD3000XL Stereo CD-ROM Samplar was released in 1995 as part of Akai's S3000XL series. It is an S3000XL with built-in CD-ROM and SCSI. Unlike that one, it is 3U high.

A filter board can be retrofitted to the CD3000XL, which offers the option of a second filter bank in edit mode, a 2-pole LP/BP/HP with resonance and EQ filter and also expands the sampler with a third assignable 8-stage envelope ENV3.
