Roland MKS-20 Digital Piano Module

The instrument

The Roland MKS-20 is a 16-voice polyphonic digital piano sound module. It features Structured/Adaptive Synthesis (SAS), eight tones, including grand piano, electric piano, harpsichord, vibraphone and clavinet, as well as stereo chorus, stereo tremolo and a three-band equalizer.
The MKS-20 was part of Roland's modular MIDI system Mother Keyboard, which was launched in 1984 with two keyboards (MKB-1000 and MKB-300) and three sound modules (MKS-10 Planet-P Piano, MKS-30 Planet-S Synthesizer and MKS-80 Super Jupiter).
