The JX-1 is a 24-voice digital synthesiser with 61 velocity-sensitive keys. The sound generation is based on PCM samples, which are sent through a dynamic filter and a dynamic amplifier. Chorus and reverb are then available as effects. There are 64 presets, 32 sounds can be saved, although only a few parameters can be edited: Cutoff, Colour, Attack, Release, Vibrato Depth and Rate, Chorus or Reverb On/Off. (Source: Rolandmuseum)
