Korg M-50 Music Workstation Keyboard Synthesizer
The instrument
The M-50 workstation combines the synthesis, multi-effects and sequencer functions of Korg's Triton with a performance-based, interactive music generation system that goes beyond conventional arpeggiators and auto-accompaniment sections. The device is part of the workstation series that was launched in 1988 with the M-1 and greatly expanded in 2001 with the Karma.
Details
The sounds of the M-50 are similar to those of the Korg M-3 in the 256 MB PCM memory with 1077 multisamples and 1609 drum samples. The Enhanced Definition Synthesis (EDS) works without sampling. There are 608 included programs and 384 combinations. Two oscillators are available per voice, which can address up to eight multisamples, four filters (two per oscillator with four possible routings), two amps, five LFOs and five envelopes simultaneously. The effects section with 5 insert effects, 2 master effects and one total effect, for which 170 algorithms are available, contributes to the modeling. The Karma algorithm generates MIDI data based on the notes entered in the 1000 Generated Effects (GE). (Source: amazona)
