The fully digital Elka X 45 followed the analogue-digital X 25 in 1988. The instrument with two manuals of 44 keys (F-C) and a bass pedal with 13 keys (C-C) includes sections for organ and synthesiser. The C 700 model is the technically identical version of a home organ in a wooden cabinet. The large X 1000 model followed in 1989.

The X 45 has sound groups for Flutes, Orchestra 1, Orchestra 2, Solo, Custom and Bass on both manuals. It has an orchestrator with numerous sound colours that can be played simultaneously and optionally on the lower or upper manual: The effects are: Portamento, Sustain, Elkaplay, Reverberation, Dynamic, and Rotary, Chorus Rotary. The rhythm section provides 18 basic rhythms, each with one variation, and the automatic accompaniment provides 5 arrangements that can be assigned to the rhythms.
